10 weeks already!

So i noticed that I haven't posted anything in a while, partly because there is not much to post! So here is a little update on whats going on..

Friday September the 11th I was supposed to go to my first doctors appointment. I was so excited to go and wanted to see my little baby! Well something came up at work and I was asked to see if I could reschedule it for later that day. So I called to see if I could only to find out that it was just an orientation appointment! They said I wouldnt be able to actually see a doctor until October 5th! I was so disappointed! Everyone I have talked to says that thats the way they do it in the army, most people dont even know they are pregnant until that point. I however have known for as long as I could have and I want to know for sure that everything is ok! So I didn't go to that appointment because by the actual doctors appointment date, I will be home. So Ryan and I decided to just make an appointment in charleston and that way we can go together. So not much to update there!

A few weekends ago mom got Ryan and I a fetal heart monitor. It records the heartbeat so we were going to record it and send it with Ryan to Iraq so he can listen to his baby whenever he wants to. Well while Ryan was distracted on the computer, mom and I decided to try it out. It said the hearbeat would sound like a horse galloping..and after awhile we actually heard it! We were both so excited and mom went to get Ryan. We made him keep his eyes closed and put the headphones on him. He sat there for a second looking confused and when he opened his eyes and realized what it was, his reaction was priceless! He covered his mouth with his hands and teared up..It was such a special moment for us, Thank you mom for such a wonderful idea!

So over the past few weeks alot has changed, I never thought a person could throw up this much! But I take it as a sign that everything is going good inside my belly, and while I dont enjoy being sick all the time, I know that in the end it will be well worth it! Half the time I have no idea what I want to eat, I just drive around until something stands out. I usually end up loosing it anyway! I haven't really had any weird cravings yet though, none other than my crazy eating habits I already had. Although I am very much looking
forward to going home and having home cooked meals!!

The other day I spilt a drink on my dresser, I was a little put off about it but no big deal. I cleaned it up and moved on. Well later that day I spilt another drink and this time it was very upsetting..I actually cried! Crazy..I know! I get grumpy for no reason, sad or whatever else emotion there is..

Poor Ryan! When our niece was born he decided he wanted five kids..now already he says he only wants one! I asked why and he said "I dont like your hormones!" Then this past weekend we were waiting for a table at a restaurant and we were both watching this cute little girl and he said.."I cant wait!" He says that alot. He is very excited, we both are! And then he changed his mind to wanting two...he says he wont stop until he gets a boy! YIKES! He bought me a book called.."Your pregnancy week by week". Its a good book, alot of useful information but some scary stuff too!

Its becoming real that he is leaving soon.. about a month. We are trying to take care of everything that needs to be done before he leaves, which is alot! Its a very scary thing, its new to us but I am so proud of him and I know that the Lord will bring him back safely to us. There is a huge sense of pride being married to a soldier that no one can truly explain. He is my hero and I am so proud of him!

Ok well back to baby scott...I am at 10 weeks now! I love to read my book and look online and see all the changes that happen every week! Here is what babycenter.com says is going on this week...

Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy. If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.
